Neither clip shows the comedian at anywhere near his best, but I'll give it to Bob as it made me laugh just a bit more. But poor choices.

Yeah, neither of those are terribly funny, are they? I love some Fawlty, and in fact there's one bit from it that was on my short list. I think A fails because Fawlty comes off OK and the humor is all in the stuffiness of the major - the show's funnier when Fawlty's taken down a peg too, specifically when he's aiming for dignity that he just doesn't have in him. Curious choice.
B is pretty one-note but I did get a minor chuckle out of it, which is enough here.

I'm already bored with all this British humor.

The Fawlty clip is not one I would have chosen, but B baffles me...Not sure what was funny there...Vote A

B was quite funny for a few seconds, the Major is a great British archetype though and I have warm memories of this speech though I may have picked the scene where he tells off the moose! A

Yeah, interesting personal choices here it seems. Both are ok but not great, but I certainly think that Major has the most appeal. "I took her to see India … at the Oval!" always raises a grin.

Nothing against the major of course but B is one of those clips that has made me laugh regularly over the years.
It's all about Bob's weird moves.
I still do the dance sometimes.

Well, I guess there's something to be said for choosing the most obvious episode, but not the most obvious scenes. I think The Major is an ace character, and properly well-performed. The "I took her to see India.... at The Oval!" line is magnificent. Not sure the discussion on race is the greatest moment, but it's nicely managed to get slightly surreal humour into a 70s sitcom. Or 80s. Whenever it was.
I always think Vic (and particularly Bob) are funnier when they are winging it on the spot. This did make me smile, especialy when it has the dramatic musical pause, then carries on. But it's not good enough to beat India at The Oval.
