B is a 34 minute clip which doesn't allow one to fast forward, so vote A by default
EDIT: Found a youtube clip..."Just say ...maybe" edges out mean Aussie...Vote B

There's not a lot of lol funny in B, but it's a great performance, and Clive is the perfect straight man.
A is cute, I guess, mildly, but raise your hand if you didn't see the punchline coming before they started filming.

B isn't really as hilarious as the audience seem to think. The idea is clear, and it makes me smile in parts, but i think this one is more about nostalgia for some of our Brits here. A packs more punch in its last 10 seconds, thnaks to the great Steve Bisley's deadpan delivery too. It does what it does beautifully in less than 40 seconds, despite the protestations of hatz our closet ad critic and expert.

I remember the Aussie lager ad and it raised a smile, but it seems a very slight pick. Peter Cook might not be for everyone as it's less about straightforward jokes ( although his Henry Ford gag is a cracker) and more about his creative use of language and bizarre associations ("I should never have played Edward the Confessor", "the old Ethiopian sound", "Blind Tony Tintin"). It's the kind of humour I find very funny and it's hard to find because he was such a one off.
Easily a B here.

I remember that episode of Clive Anderson talks back, it was raved over by critics at the time, but I thought it was a complete waste of a show. I haven't changed my mind since, this is pretty rank stuff. I get Peter Cook's importance to British comedy, but this is some kind of forelock tugging to a man whose talent and inspiration had long gone.
A is pretty good, for an advert.
