'Afterglow' is a rare example of a TUNE from these thicko showboating chancers, so it gets my voti-oti-o

I always thought that My Mind's Eye wanted to be a Beatles tune. I hadn't heard afterglow before; I'm not particularly fond of Marriot's 'soulful' straining mode, but it's pretty enough, although to my ears no more or less tuneful than the other two. But Autumn Stone is a genuine delight, very atypical, and that's what I voted for.

Afterglow used to be one of my favourites, it has an undeniably soulful, yearning quality, but I'm a bit burnt out on it these days. I went for Autumn Stone. An underrated SF song and I always like that pastoral side of them.

All wonderful. "Afterglow" is one of greatest songs by anybody, and would win over "Like a Rolling Stone" and "Strawberry Fields". "The Autumn Stone" is incredible too, though. I have always dug it, from the first time I chanced upon it. Chris Wood's flute is a nice bonus!

I love all three songs and kind of want to vote for "My Mind's Eye" just because hardly anyone else has, but I'm going with "The Autumn Stone".

Thanks - can't believe I'm only just hearing about it now. Ordered (on CD).

There was also a French book release many years back that included some rare live show/s?
But it also sounds like Mr. Jones has some unreleased Small Faces.

Can't see the last one, but this one worked:
Anyway, three of my favorites, though I'd probably take "Tin Soldier" over any of them.
Of these, though, "Afterglow" goes indeed have the most magic in it.
I've softened toward these guys a great deal in recent years. Inconsistent as hell, mostly at the beginning and end, but I'm finding more and more to love, and am getting more forgiving of the misfires.
Of course ('stop me if you've heard this before' alert), there's a direct proportion of magic to amount of Ronnie Lane-ness. Lane without them? Some of my favorite music in the world. Marriot without them? Humble Fucking Pie.
