Went to the doc's today to see about a knee injury I got. As always, they take your weight and blood pressure beforehand. I'd gained 10 lbs over Xmas and my blood pressure was high. Too many cheese logs during the holidays.
Also, I got a LAST WARNING, and yes in all caps, from my apartment complex's management. Seems like my son and his friend had sworn at one of the custodial staff and did the same at the pool - enough to get four complaints.

I had a dream last night I was spooning with my brother in bed and I don't even really like him.

The one day I get to sleep in all week is Sunday morning. The one day.
This Saturday night/Sunday morning I have to pick up my daughter at the airport as she's coming home from a trip to Costa Rica.
Throws the whole next day outta whack.

My manager at work is a really nice guy, but probably the worst manager I've ever worked for and a control freak that keeps most of the department's work to himself and gives out scraps. He barely gives us any work, checks up very little, which sounds great, but I'm extremely bored.
If you ask for work, he gives out nothing and if I went to him and told him, he gets very defensive. The other day I was sending out resumes and got a bite for a marketing communications manager position for a chemical company whose headquarters are here in the Bay Area.
Phone interview next week.

I thought of you the other day, Sloop. They were playing "A Million Miles Away" by The Plimsouls in this fried chicken place I was eating in with my daughter. I thought you, the power pop aficionado, would have appreciated it.
In other news, I contracted Lyme disease in rural Pennsylvania over X-Mas. Multiple "bulls-eye" bite marks appeared on my arm after our return, so I was off to the doc, got the antibiotics and the test came back positive. Thanks, Pennsylvania!

She knows every word to Cruel to Be Kind and Switchboard Susan. I don't know how much she really likes 'em, but she automatically starts singing Cruel to Be Kind whenever she hears it.

In other news, I contracted Lyme disease in rural Pennsylvania over X-Mas. Multiple "bulls-eve" bite marks appeared my arm after our return, so I was off to the doc, got the antibiotics and the test came back positive. Thanks, Pennsylvania! Damn you were lucky, you caught it early. Whereabouts in PA? Did you go out in the woods for walks?I am stunned when I pull them off my dog who just sits on the deck outback. You're actually lucky it wasn't the the Asian long-horned tick, Haemaphysalis longicornis. Then there is the potentially deadly and brain swelling POW virus. So thank you, PA indeed! I use to love wandering the woods and forests, but have really cut back

Read up on Permethrin and see if it is for you. It is effective.
