As on BCB, you can put the URL in between "[/img]" on the right side and the same thing without the slash on the left side...

Are you trying to upload an avatar? If so, I think you can copy the image link and put in “profile”

Is there any way you can add a save as draft option on posting?
I'd probably post longer posts if that was an option...but don't let that put you off!

Don't you get that pop-up sometimes? the one where your half-finished post is quoted back to you, and it asks if you'd like to post it? That might be helpful for you G but I'm not sure how it works...

I have noticed your posts have been rather short recently!

Not a tech solution, but in those circumstances, I copy the whole text and send it as a pm to one of my aliases. I know you haven't got any aliases here, but you could either get one or trying sending a PM to yourself

Some message boards have a 'scratch box' (or whatever you call it) - I'll look into getting one here

Users have a Drafts feature available to them, which periodically saves a temporary copy of a post you are writing as you are creating it. The benefit of having drafts enabled is that in the event that you accidentally leave the posting page before making your post, you will be able to restore the message that you were typing so that you can finish it rather than having to start all over again from scratch.
The way this works is if you begin to type out a post on the forum and leave the posting page, when you return to the topic a popup will appear letting you know that a recent draft that you were working on has been found. This pop-up will show a preview of the message that the system saved up to, and from there you can choose whether or not to restore the draft so that you can finish making your post. Keep in mind that only one draft is saved, and this feature is meant for emergency purposes to help restore the most recent post that you were working on as it's needed
To enable the drafts feature, click the Profile button found in the top menu bar of the forum, and then on your profile page click the Edit Profile button. You will then be taken to the Edit Profile & Settings page for your account; once here, click on the Settings tab. When the page loads, you'll find the Enable Drafts located as the fourth option on the page. Set this to Yes and save the changes. Once this is done, drafts of your posts will be saved so that you can restore from them as they are needed.www.proboards.com/user-guide/profile-preferences/drafts

Write long posts in your email account (which I have always open and which saves drafts all the time, certainly when closing the post). Then copy it in here and add formatting if necessary. Much less of a faff than it sounds.

Or just do it in the word processor of your choice, then copy and paste here, as I have done with some mega-posts. (Probably not much help if you're posting by phone, though.)

When you quote someone i think you see their login name rather than their screen name. That's a hell of security risk. Like everyone knows coan's password is TheFall_7685

Should we have a members-only Exchange & Mart, as some other forums I could name do?

Could cause some friction between members. If someone is more in the know about the price of a vinyl lets say, and uses that to inflate the price or undercut a novice, could lead to guns at dawn. I suppose it could be every person for themselves, buyer/seller beware.
