Damned sea lions hogging all the good swimming spots! For critters with no actual limbs to speak of, they get across the ground mighty fast. I was just reading some of the comments on the OP twitter thread, and apparently those sea lions stink up the place pretty bad with their shit. If that's actually the case, I'm surprised those people are there at all.

Has anyone encountered anything OF NOTE? SKEETERS! I feel sorry for the women-folk because they usually get the mosquito bites 5 times as bad as me. I've only had a few bites but they've been pretty gnarly.

I remember driving through Michigan once on our way to Chicago and seeing more roadkill deer than I ever had in my life. It was eerie.
