I am going to take Scrap out for a walk along the Tone, but some veg from Granny Smith, cook and eat a couple of meals, smoke some hashish, edit some photos I took last month, solve a couple of killer sudokus, play in ten games of online Lexulous and continue my crusade for orthography on the interwebz, whlst pointing out how WRONG everyone is about Everything. It's a full life, with no room for Elvis Costello.

Yes I think it might be a better life without ELVIS COSTELLO but I'm willing to give the old geezer a chance.

I will be staying in today with the air conditioner on as this week's thirty plus temperatures and visitors from the UK have left me EXHAUSTED. Listening to some music, looking after a six week old kitten and posting with gay ABANDONE on multiple boards!!!! Probs make a nice Greek salad as a random neighbour left 3 cucumbers on our patio table.

Yes I think it might be a better life without ELVIS COSTELLO but I'm willing to give the old geezer a chance. The only time I saw him was in the audience for a Clash gig at the Mean fiddler in Harlseden. He was with Bebe Buell. A little punk marched up to him, pointing at BB and pointedly singing 'I don't want to go to Chelsea'. To E's credit, he engaged with the kid, and when I left for the mosh pit when the Clash came on, he was sitting (it wasn't a seated gig, must have been at a pub table, don't remember clearly) with Bebe on his left and Punky on his right (sadly, he didn't tear open his shirt to show who was tatooed on his chest), chatting amiably to both.

In Zakynthos it is cucumber, onion, beefsteak tomatoes , feta cheese , green peppers , local oil , oregano and love. Some people put olives into the salad but I do not care for them. A little local bread and a glass of the local wine ( a bottle left on my patio table a day before the cucumber) is all one requires for a good meal.

I've not used oregano though, I'll give it a try!

Oh no chaps. I understand your points about the olive. I cannot abide them , yet I love olive oil but not olive paste. The oregano is essential.

Olives is one of those foods you grow into. I used to hate 'em but now I love 'em. You need decent ones though, the tinned stuff you get isn't up to much.

Olives are essential in a Greek salad, but if you don't like 'em, you don't like 'em. I add chick peas to mine if I'm taking one to work for lunch to fill it out and add a bit more protein. I don't like green peppers, though.
About a decade or so ago I went to see Elvis C on a whim - a friend had tickets - and he was playing with the Attractions, so it was a surprisingly fun gig. They were on a fairly large stage, but grouped tightly with small amps so it seemed a bit more cozy.

The bolded is 75% of Elvis Costello songs. You don't need him anymore.
