Mack's funnier - a very sharp comedy mind - but I prefer Mitchell as a person. It's still a great show after I don't know how many seasons now. I can't imagine Bob has any stories left! so tonight's has to be a LIE 🙂 I marginally prefer Mitchell, especially when he goes on those sarcastic rants, but they're both very funny on it (Mack's sitcom is dreadful THO)

I prefer Mitchell. I kinda had to warm to Mack, although I eventually did. His sheer relentlessness is a little off-putting - he's one of those people who always has to be ON, whether the joke is worth it or not; but there are few people more quick-minded, and at his best (which is often enough) he is hilarious.

Oh yes. Have you bothered with any of her Digging for Britain series - must-see in this house?
I don't know if you're a fan of The Detectorists, but she had a cameo in the Xmas special last year.

Loved the Detectorists Xmas special. There's something so life affirming about it, without it ever lapsing into sentimentality. Loved the idea of The Holy Grail ending up in a skip!

Terrible G. Just another elitist middle class div. Keep it real lad Anatomist, atheist, believes in science, likes facts, past President of the humanist association, three post-graduate degrees, presents TV progs on archaeology, history - not really a 'div' (means stupid, dull or foolish person): grew up in a posh suburb of Brizzle, yes, and middle class under most sociological definitions, but nothing particularly 'elitist' about anything she ever said or did that I heard, and in very good shape for someone who turns 50 this year - hardly a 'bint' (Etymology. Borrowed from Arabic بِنْت (bint, “girl, daughter”), from Proto-Semitic *bint-, used to denote a patronym. The term entered the British lexicon during the occupation of Egypt at the end of the 19th century, where it was adopted by British soldiers to mean "girlfriend" or "bit on the side".)
Do you think David Attenborough is elitist? His background is more middle-class than hers, after all, and their careers have several similarities.

How was he/it? (I only get to watch on YouTube, so there's a bit of a lag.) Did he seem reasonably healthy? He's had issues lately, I've been worried about him.

Ah, he looked fine. Nice denim jacket! the usual giggling and exasperating David M. His main story wasn't exactly egg-in-the-bath vintage, but it was Bob enough for a few chuckles.

I was thinking of this on my way home, for some reason.
It really is absolutely fucking wonderful.
