This BBC Four thing about 'People's Palaces' is absolutely wonderful - watching now

Some new show about a guy who's half man, half DeLorean. It was okay but they barely played up the car part.

4th season of the Man in the High Castle.
It looks great, it's suitably confusing for a P K Dick adaptation and I like its ambition even if it's not always coherent.

I just started The Watchmen. It's really, really intriguing so far, and I'm curious to see where it ends up going.

I really need to dip back into that before another season drops. I'll get so far behind that I'll never catch up. I like it but I must admit that I like the theory of setting it further down the timeline of the original material than I do the practice. I can see that readers of the comics can connect the dots and that sounds neat but god DAMN it, I know what the Watchmen are supposed to look like. I know that's all kinds of shallow but it's a fact. the show has not gone after the fanboy in me. I can rationalize this as a good thing. I hate when comic derived stuff goes over stuff you already know. on the other hand - my inner geek is feeling a little starved so far. Maybe by the time Hooded Justice shows up I'll get over that.

Ozymandias AND Silk Spectre are major characters (at least, three episodes in), and it seems quite clear that Dr. Manhattan will be showing up before long...

There was an extraordinary documentary on Storyville the other day. It was really eye opening and should be required viewing for anyone who routinely and lazilly dismisses all conspiracy theories (I'm far from a conspiracy theorist btw but there are clearly things that happen covertly, especially in refard to intelligence agencies, that we have little idea over). Scarey and powerful. The presentation is a little gimmicky, but it's worth overlooking that for the content. www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m000bpkm/storyville-murder-in-the-bush-cold-case-hammarskjold

I watched most of the first episode of this thing but didn't have a clue what was going on. Not a clue. It made The Wire seem like Janet and John. Why do they make these things so difficult to understand?

Abducted In Plain Sight
Not the greatest documentary but as stories go, absolutely jawdropping. I was dumbfounded watching this.

V&B were great last night. Nothing new, but they're so lovely together now as well as being funny.
The 'Most Haunted' section was the funniest, but there really weren't many dead moments.
Later in the evening I watched an old House Of Fools, and there was a scene where they're flying through the sky on a giant moth. It was wonderful.
My love for them grows and grows.
