The Jocky Wilson program tonight was sweet, funny, touching and sad. Where was that, D?

BBC2 at 9. One of those programs that reminds you that the past was a different world.
Some funny recollections. Jocky used to travel abroad for tournaments with Bobby George and he'd take a suitcase with him but the only thing in the suitcase was his socks ("we'll win some money and buy some clothes!"). I love shit like that.
Maybe it was only BBC Scotland though.

I think it was. I'll look out for it - sounds just like my kind of thing.

Back to Line of Duty ... Tedisms could be turned into bingo or drinking games.

Tonight's episode was unremittingly bleak, but completely absorbing. I think this is the best HBO drama for a long time.

I'm enjoying this Hatton Garden thing on ITV. Excellent performances.

That too!
And the Thatcher thing.
And the Shane Meadows drama (part 2 tonight).

"oh I only watch Game of Thrones actually it's absolutely wonderful isn't it but wasn't it a disappointment what happened there then isn't it strange oh how sad to see Thorine go and then Wizard well we could have seen that one coming a mile off oh but I do think the writing has trailed off a bit but really at its peak it was great TV really life-defining did you read that Guardian article no neither did I oh I'm a fucking tosser like you too oh Line of Fire oh what time's it on oh oh oh oh oh oh"

I thought GoT's climax was much better than people have said. There was something very satisfying about seeing Thorag the Lisping Dragon marry the Elf Ann of Widdecombe thus uniting the MacDougal clan. Perhaps the narrative arc of Desmond Dekker could have been better handled, did he really need to defeat the entire Borrusia nation by repeatedly farting into their faces? Seemed a little far-fetched to me.

There has been something funny about all these people watching all these hours of telly for it to go a bit shit at the end.
You’re better off with movies.

I was a bit shocked that Sean Bean came back as a ghost mind. Reminded me a bit too much of Return of the Jedi. Was fabulous seeing Mervyn the Malignant get shat on by that Dragon though. Fucking hilarious! Needed more dwarf though.

You know what the only thing I like more than Game of Thrones is?
People who go all over Facebook and TV review sites and newspaper websites and messageboards to bang on about how they don't watch Game of Thrones and actually they'd never even heard of Game of Thrones and how it's actually A Fact that being in the same room as someone who once saw a picture of an actor who once played Third Codpiece on the Right in a deleted scene from Game of Thrones makes you unfit to have kids/a job/dinner/shoes (delete as appropriate depending on just how smug and superior you're feeling)

Dragins did it, innit bruv.
(Think I secured my intellectual superiority there).
