Hey Fishy, what do you think of this track...
Bobby Hutcherson feat. Harold Land - 'Procession'
I recently got this year's reissue of this beautiful album, and so overjoyed with finally having a physical copy. It's a mix of soul jazz, latin infuenced jazz and modal numbers, and 'Procession' is one of the latter category, so i really think you would like it.
The point about halfway through (2:45 i think) when Bobby Hutcherson makes this huge ringing noise on the vibes along with Mickey Roker on his cymbals, and man, it's one of the most glorious, heavenly sounds i've ever heard.

G, i'm sure you love most of this album already!
Buyer beware though if you are interested in getting it - it seems i am lucky as my copy has had no problems, but i've read that quite a few people are unhappy with their copy of the 'San Fransisco' reissue, citing lots of surface noise and warps.

I was searching for late night listening, and recalled someone on twitter (frozen reeds, probably) saying Ornette had never made a bad album. So I thought, bet he was shit in the 70s. How fucking wrong was I. Awe inspiring, free wheeling, the movement to this thing is just incredible .
