i'm getting worried that G is turning into his keith jennings alter-ego again. his negative comments towards my tracks and his poor selections are causing concern.

Really good songs -full of wit and melodic invention. And there was always that funk/disco influence on them which meant even their most shambolic tracks had a rhythmic foundation to them. I tend to pick up on that because most indie is too 'white' for me. I can see Collins' vocals are a bit of an acquired taste but they're no worse than a lot of other people - I mean Dan Treacy?? He's hardly Marvin Gaye is he? It's funny they've turned up twice already given they're not actually very popular on here! I think Ted likes them and Ray..but there's not many of us and they haven't done well in the voting. I keep meaning to do a 'Sound of Young Scotland' thread...I'll get round to it soon! p.s Jennings never went away. He is within us all!

What cunt picked that Neo Terra shit? The identity of all the cunts who picked tracks that were not mine will be revealed on Saturday. Until then, feel free to speculate.

A much better round than round two. People are digging deep and there were quite a few idiosyncratic choices. ROUND THREE RANKINGS
Excellent...very good Bob Dylan - Tombstone Blues Donovan - Get Thy Bearings Bonnie Bramlett - Crazy 'Bout My Baby Jefferson Airplane – Come up the years Reverend Roger L Worthy and His Sister Bonnie Woodstock - Get Back Satan The Waterboys - Gala Shuggie Otis - Strawberry Letter 23 Would be much higher, but docked points for overuse Good The Intruders - (Love is Like a) Baseball Game The Fleetwoods - Come Softly To Me The Busters - Bust Out Run DMC - Hard Times Okay...mediocre Weyes Blood - Something to Believe DJ Spooky vs. Dave Lombardo - Quantum Cyborg Drum Machine The Sensational Saints – How Great Thou Art Bonnie St. Claire - Tame Me, Tiger T-Boones - I Want You The Belles - Melvin Lisa Germano – The Dresses Song Burial - Etched Headplate Poor Phil Ochs – My Life

I'll play. So here's my thoughts on the round 4 picks - I'm gonna rate them as songs at face value instead of as picks, so their status for example holds no sway.
Great-Very good Charlie Haden - El Quinto Regimiento Astor Piazzolla - Tanguedia III Albert Ayler - Truth is Marching In Howlin Wolf - Spoonful
Good-Decent Nat King Cole - A Blossom Fell Rick Cuevas – Birds Strafe - Set It Off Television - Days Cyndi Lauper - When You Were Mine
Passable-Average Rock Steady Crew - (Hey You) The Rock Steady Crew Ty Wagner - Misery Train Duane Eddy - Desert Rat Ben E. King - Spanish Harlem The Box Tops - Sweet Cream Ladies Phoenix - If I Ever Feel Better The Fugs - No More Slavery
Poor Minnie Riperton - Perfect Angel The xx- VCR White Zombie - Thunder Kiss ’65 Stephen Duffy - London Girls
