Ooh, very retro 70s balladry, I didn't think songs were recorded that sounded like this anymore, for quite good reason. To be fair, she sounds very competent, and I'm sure if this was released in 1971 it would be being creamed over by some here, but it's very far from my house of wheels. Of which I have many. Overdone with all that arrangement stuff, innit? If it was just done with acoustic guitar, and sung a bit more subtly, I reckon it might've had something that could appeal to me. But this is not me, good people, this is targeted at a different clientele.
Jefferson Airplane aren't exactly familiar terrain for me, neither, I feel lost in strange unpleasant lands, though the vocal is quite a pretty thing indeed. The arrangement is similarly a bit too muchly ornated as A, or is it just a knee-jerk reaction to triangle and tambourine (could be a good pub though).
Yeah, it has to be said, B is a better thing than the thing that is A.

Finally something special!
I was ready to write A off after a few seconds, thinking 'hippie rubbish', but it's actually very strong - beautiful vocals with something magical going on in the arrangement. I really enjoyed it. It's from this year! it wouldn't surprise me if this has never happened before in any of these cups...
And B is a favourite, one of a couple of real beauties off that magical first JA album.
It's tough but I'm going to give it to
A

There were musical moments in A which threatened to intrigue me, but ultimately it seemed too frozen in its own tastefulness. All perfectly arranged, but perhaps that's its problem. You want to shout at it "put your Elton John records away and express yourself!"
B is one of JA's great moments (and slightly underrated to boot). I love the contrast between the strength of Slick's vocal and the magical folkiness of the backing.
Easy choice here...B

A is a bit too earnest in the vocal and sort of overproduced...I like the vocal of B a bit better...Vote B

I love the contrast between the strength of Slick's vocal and the magical folkiness of the backing. That's Signe Toy Anderson singing with Marty. Grace Slick wasn't in the band yet

I'm pretty much with SJC on A - a pleasant surprise that makes me want to 'monitor for future developments' (just to keep the Hatz cliches a-comin'). Only difference is for me it doesn't have quite enough to make me vote against B.

A won't play for me - is this live version close to the one posted? It's probably better, it sounds more human, her voice isn't as clean and smooth.
