Oh, wow. GREAT choices.
Hm.
A was new to me, but really gripping stuff. Loved it. I have to investigate this lot. That was a blast.
B is just pure joy. Fabulous.
Fuck.
I think I have to give it to
B
because the simplicity of the whole thing is more appealing to me right now. Sorry, A.

B is one of those old records that brings a tear to my eye. Its sweet innocence only becomes more moving as the years go by. No slight on A but...

As crate digging choices go, A was pretty good but I wasn't as carried away with it as JC. It's not something I would return to that often, but I don't wish to damn it too much either. B is very pretty in a slightly spooky way (the repetition gives it an obsessed vibe).

A was ok until the vocals came in and then it went tits up.

A's a decent Gospel inflected blues number, I guess. I know it's not an obvious pick, and someone's given this some thought, I'm just burned out on the stuff from the same era that doesn't appeal to me. And I already know which way I'm voting.
I absolutely adore this track. I almost feel guilty for voting for it, because it seems too obvious a choice again. Are there no other comparable tracks by The Fleetwoods? It's just a deeply beautiful track, a perfectly recorded slight slice of minimal harmonic heaven.

B. I’ve heard it a million, zillion times and I still might take a deep breath when I hear it. A thing of beauty is a joy forever. Anybody who knows me knows what a sniggering & immature guy I am. This song is SO pretty that it is immune to the obvious vulgarism you can manage with the title. THAT is how pretty it is.

Shit, great match. Both are squarely in my wheelhouse and either could be my song choice, really, so very hard to choose. I may have to come back later in the week for more plays and see how I feel then. Ok, i'm going with A.

A sure sounds awesome, but break it down and there's not really much there there. I almost punished B for being prevalent on oldies radio, but then I realized it really isn't so much anymore, now that oldies stations have started playing Guns N' Roses. It really sounded like a long lost friend, and I'd forgotten how glorious it sounds.

Like a lot of folks it seems I'm not immune to a nice bit of dooby-doo, so it's going to be B for me too.
Shame about the other track though. I liked it a lot.

B I like my music secular unless it’s Coltrane.
