Who's better? The Coens? Wes Anderson? PTA? Just got round to watching 'Hail Caesar', which was a delight pretty much. Interesting to compare it to "Once Upon..". They're both dealing with different periods of Hollywood, but the Coen Brothers film makes so much more of Hollywood mythology and is so much more watchable.

I worked in a video store when "...Lebowski" was new. 80% of the people who rented it absolutely loathed it. many of these people identified themselves as Cohen Brothers fans
both times I saw "...Arizona" in the theatre the crowd clearly disconnected with the movie when the baby seat got left on the roof of the car.
nowadays both films seem to be among the brothers' most admired.
I wonder if a similar fate awaits some of their other films?

Quirky, funny movie.
