A's not bad, but the Troggs make it, while I think Moon's Tain is fakin' it. Everytime, the Troggs are played, I feel like I should listen to 'em more.

i love both of these! great tie. A is a proto bowie velvets noise and B a very underrated track from one of my favourite bands.
i wish i could give both a vote, so the best thing to do is to ABSTAIN.

This is what D_F hears when he complains about our obsession with 'the sixties', I think
They're both rubbish, halfwit tenth-rate efforts, you could have chosen about 18,000 better songs from the same era.
A
is slightly less of a chore to listen to

A proves obscurity is not always a virtue. Whilst this may be of interest to obsessive collectors of UK psych, it will be of little interest to anyone else because it's a really poor song played with little conviction. Sure there's some nice fuzz guitar but it can't disguise the uninspired nature of A. B is much better even though there must be 500 UK psych tracks I prefer. The Troggs are their usual middling selves but cook up quite an arresting atmosphere which is needed because the song itself kind of goes nowhere.

The Troggs are simply neither talented nor interesting enough to make much of B's thin gruel. Lovely to look at, though.
A is an historic curio and no more, but not charmless.

a - not liking the riff/intro. This is psych? Why? Because there's an effects pedal? Ooh, there's a trippy instrumental break. Be still my beating pineal gland. Nah, not for me. Just dull 3 / 10 b - Not that this is particularly exciting, although I've always found old Reg a mildly endearing character, and they limp home here. 3.5 / 10

How do we get matches like this? Gah. (This is a rhetorical question, not a shot at your organising Ray). Tracks that i wish had been in other ties where i liked both more. Sorry. Maybe A, just.

To compensate for the strong tie in match 7 we have now this. OMG! Piss poor 60s throwaways. Refuse to abstain, so just because the name is not familiar, I'll vote for

Hah, it's not just my tolerance of dodgy 60s bands that's been tested this time, it would seem. Welcome to my world. A is toss that sounds like Cream decided to try a song for a community kazoo orchestra.
B is some sort of homeopathic track, it's so weak you wonder if there's anything but a memory of a song remaining. But that vague diluted essence of song is better than the full-throated belch that is A.
