Always liked Big Black - it's Albini doing what he should be doing, rather than convincing someone else what they should do. (OK, exception made for Cheap Trick - maybe.) Not sure when this is from, but it probably doesn't make a huge difference.
B is more my speed, though. Shows through even through the horrible sound quality.

B sounds like a poor man's Blood, Sweat and Tears. It's okay, but I like

The Blood. Sweat and tears comparisons with B are frankly bizarre. This a much tougher and rawer sound than that..I see no link at all. I thought it was a great sounding record, although the song was barely there and just a vehicle for the band to do their thang. A is not my cup of my tea.

That's some proper guitar, cuts through the sunday evening fathers day fug, unblocks the sinuses, or whatever. I don't like that drum sound, for a highly acclaimed producer, I'm not impressed with that. I guess it's all really about the guitar noise, and that does the trick for me.
B sounds fairly horrible to me. Uh uh.

A is good, and one of BB's best singles for me, but I've never been a big fan of the band. B is lots of fun and something I would play more often, tbh.

B is a blast! A's a hard pass. I never got the love for Big Black. Now Shellac - that's a whole other story.

I pretty much knew what A would sound like - I don't have much time for it, to be honest. B sounded like a fuzzed up version of Edwin Starr's 25 Miles and I enjoyed the hell out of it.

A is not my thing at all. B is pleasant and stuff but perfectly unremarkable. It certainly doesn’t deserve the landslide victory it’s having. Ehm... A
