A's quite good, like Coan says, it has that nice amateurish charm that you used to get with indie bands before they were required by law to learn to play instruments correctly and hire competent producers. Pity it kind of peters out by just repeating itself over and over. And I like the Ian Curtis does Gospel thing. Someone should've done a Manchester post-punk version of The Blues Brothers, where the car chases are replaced by scruffy tossers pushing each other around Ancoats in shopping trolleys. B's the better song, obviously, Soft Cell had that grit and sleaze with swagger thing, and that deep twanging synth does things to my genitalia. All of 'em. But A is a less well-trodden path, a more interesting cup pick, and gets my vote for that reason. FFS just vote B!

No way, I always try and reward a more interesting pick. It's the point of the competition for me, to try and hear new stuff.

Silly boy. Look them up. They're a great little combo, even if they are from Leicester.

A is good, cheers picker, but i can't say i like it more than B. Haven't heard it in years and sounded excellent as ever.

I really like A. It makes a little go a long way. B is an old familiar and I really like singing along to it, and sometimes even imitating the thronky synth noises too. Good tie!

The ties have going for over seven days so it's time to close the ties. No it fucking isn't, for fuck sake. I put on a deadline of 12 noon on Saturday. Some leave it to Friday night USA time . You can't get the fucking staff these days.

I'll do them tomorrow. But perhaps you should have made it clearer that the last round would last longer thsn the other rounds. I'm not sure I get the logic of this, but I'll do it however you wish.
