Hmm, apparently A was a top 40 hit in the 70s. I don't remember it. Though I guess it's from a time that I'd stopped listening to AM radio much. It's spirited, if a bit ordinary.
B is decent, but unless I have some kind of personal connection to Fall tracks, they don't really stand out for me.

A sounds like KC & the Sunshine Band. B is always unpredictable.

A is much better than KC and the Sunshine Band. More extreme, more visceral, less pop..this is one for the funk connoisseurs. Great selection.
B is very average Fall. Sure there's a decent garage riff there, but there's not much else.

Ha Ha! Caught me out! But I still maintain it has a much tougher sound than them.

G is right. I really have no idea why somebody would choose something so banal and average. B makes me question the posters entire life, never mind their music taste.
Sort your life out B. Christ.

Sorry D. I'm joking of course.
The dance thing is fine, but (I know this is becoming a kind of catchphrase) I have to be in the right mood for it. And I'm not a HUGE fan of that glutinous 70s disco sound, all the horns, the layers.
'Jawbone' isn't even my favourite off that album, but still - it's the Fall almost at their best, that absolutely elemental, jagged riff tearing through some of MES' snottiest lines, creating just the wildest and weirdest world (which is of course what the Fall were (supposed to be) all about)

I'm with Goat Boy - this tune kicks arse and takes names, and that 70s R&B/disco sound still thrills. I like this Fall album and song a lot too - it still feels so alive and edgy, like the first time I heard it - so it's not an easy vote at all, but i'm going with A.
