An easy B. More groove, more intensity, more boldness. Not that its entirely a bad thing that A sounds a lot like Tom Jones. Just not what I expected from a Bert Berns production.

Both nice choices. A is tickling me just a bit more right now.

Wow, A succeeds in transmitting some energy and got me dancing on my chair, a few seconds more and it could even have got me standing! B is great too, and maybe it would win any other day, but right now I feel more like

Yeah, i'm with os. B is unlucky here - i like it quite a bit, and may have won some other matches, but A is just a bit too strong. A fave that keeps on giving.

Good tie here. A has such muscular playing and groove that it overrides the grunty blues limitations of the song. A record of fantastic and propulsive energy. I really liked the atmospheric arrangement of B, but ultimately it was a little too miserable for me to want to return to it very often.

i agree with hatz, A does have a bit of the tom jones about it but it beats B which i found a bit tepid.

B's a bullish slow blues thing, with definitely more than a hint of Tom Jones about the vocal. Decent enough stab at this kind of thing.
B is even less of my kinda thing than A is. A lethargic blues thing that would do better to keep stripped back than throw the backing vocals and flute(?)in there.

not a fan of either of these...Tom Jones on meds vs. heroin blues...For the interesting minimal guitar work and the fact that A is plodding, Vote B

A was certainly grooving me - all about that insistent chug of the playing, really nice. B had less for me, I can appreciate it but it’d not be one I’d return to often.

In what universe does Freddie Scott sound like Tom Jones? I'm assuming this is the same FS responsible for the sublime Hey Girl in the early 1960s. Yep, I looked it up. This isn't sublime, but nor iis it ridiculous, just a run of the mill R&B stomper with a better than average vocal. 4.5 / 10 And here's Dee Clark, responsible for some lovely light pop in the early Æ60s, just like Freddie - go listen to the wondrously exuberant and light Raindrops if you don't believe me. Oh, pleased to hear this belies it's title, his lovely light tenor is intact, he's not trying to sing bluesy, or soulfully. Yeah, the song is a bit of a plod, but I'm quietly thrilled to hear this, a proper pop song from the time when I loved proper pop songs. first track I've actively liked since the 5 Royales. 5.5 /10

None of my votes are probably worth anything but... well, not to worry.
