I'm a wreck. I agree with everything I've read by everybody. when the dust clears and I stop being agreeable I come to the conclusion that A's a nicer tune. B's got WAY more energy but i don't really hear a tune.
I can't really pick one over the other. sorry.

A is very pleasant, utterly of its time: I was reminded of Linda Perhacs. It slips down easy, helped by a ratehr well-recorded guitar, I thought. B is also new to me. I was hoping for a cover of the slim Gaillard tune, but no putty putty here. I don't hear the VU, either, sounds more like a moany Factory band to me: Crispy ambulance meets the Wake, that sort of caper. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but I'm going for sweet and simple here
