Some of us have art on our walls but we still like to go to galleries. Or kindergarten art displays in some cases. All art has its merits. I don't like to judge.

People fancy other people, I get it.
But the force of it expressed here sometimes is surprising.
And the ages.

There's been worse but that was rarely commented on.

Plus ... really?
I think it's a lot more about projection than the actual *ooommppphh* of some of these people.

It's like posting a pic of a nice building or summat.

No-one is going "oh yeah I'd give her one etc".
It is perfectly reasonable to admire and comment on beauty.

At the start of this thread, I did a couple of posts on what I thought was beauty.
But some of these people .. they're (extremely, apparently) attractive to the posters but they're certainly not beautiful. Which is one of my points. (Not that I don't understand being extremely attracted to non-mainstream beauty, just pointing it out here.)

I do wonder sometimes when someone lusts after someone much much younger than they are. Oh, again, I get it. But personally ... sometimes I see a guy and think "if I were 30 years younger, I'd find him attractive" because I see the qualities that I would have found attractive in them. I recognise those qualities. But I don't react to them. I think I don't react to them because my feeling of it being inappropriate completely cuts out the attraction. It happens in real life too. I find myself enjoying the recognition ... looking at someone my conscious identifies as being someone who fits my criteria of attraction, but there's no *actual* emotion or feeling there. You lot don't have that break. And that's what I'm commenting on. But I also get that I'm unusual in that regard and you lot aren't.
(But that's why the 'it's like looking at a nice building' argument doesn't hold up. You don't go "phooaarrrr, look at the curves on that tower". Or do you?)

Is everyone here an OAP? That's not a rhetorical question, I don't know most of your ages.
It might be a gender thing. From experience, older gay men tend to find a bit of "OOOFF!", to use the parlance of the thread, in men of a younger age, in a similar way to how straight blokes do with younger women. I'm not sure if it's the same with women. I've been thinking a bit lately of the differences between gay male and straight female sexuality.

I'm not an OAP but I don't know how young the youngest poster is around here. Early 30s I'm guessing (Penk, Mimsy). I turned 40 last year (I know, right?! I seem so much younger!)
I think men like to believe women are different in certain ways and they aren't as, I dunno, crude as we are in that respect. I don't believe that's the case although I suspect men are more likely to go "oooooft" in mixed company because it's less frowned upon (?) for women to do the same? Some older mens preference is younger men/women (say from late teens to mid 20s) and that's a thing but then some young men/women's preference is for older partners too.
