Yeah but that was in 1986, which was 35 years ago.
I'm talking as an adult.

Another impressive result for the Hammers. Slightly fortunate at times, but we were battering them at the end and a goal felt inevitable. Whilst I still think there is room for improvement upfront, it seems like goals are in plentiful supply from other areas. This is the most confident I've been as a Hammers fan in my lifetime. Really? What about when you had Coffee and McAvennie upfront? You finished third that season. i imagine that was before tory's time. i went to a few games that season most notably the home game against everton (or maybe it was chelsea) when we lost 1-0, which effectively ended our chances of winning the league.

I went to four games that season, but the intensity of coverage like today was not around.

Furthermore, Cottee and McAvennie were shortly sold afterwards and we've never been the same since.
Whilst Rice won't be around much longer, I don't think the side would implode without him. The win at Old Trafford is evidence of this.

I guess G's bricks remain resolutely unshat.

We tore Spurs apart in that first half. ESR and Saka bossing it! I like look of some of our new signings like Ramsdale and Tommy who seem to have the Arsenal character! Second half we didn't know what to do but I won't complain. I've never seen Spurs look as flat as that in a NDL..big problems there.

I think we need to change the manager. It's a shame as there was a lot I liked about him, but we've forgotten how to attack under him.

I think I've been pretty measured and consistent, despite your goading. I've said he has to prove it this season and the key to that will be getting the attack to really function. If he fails to do that, he can't survive as Arsenal manager. Yesterday's performance was very promising, but don't forget Emery produced an even better performance to beat them 4-2 and it proved to be not the start of anything. Let's see how he builds on this.

Let's see how he builds on this. i think you're right to err on the side of caution, G. narrow wins against relegation candidates norwich and burnley and an out-of-sorts spurz could prove to be misleading. ramsdale is an upgrade on the awful leno and his selection seems to have coincided with better defensive performances. the brighton game should be more of a test and give a better idea if progress is being made.

Great result for Sherriff from Moldova last night. However it is slightly soured by the fact that they are owned by some Russian tycoon chap who wants Transnistria to secede to Russia.
Messi's goal was fabulous and I don't know whether Liverpool were terrific or Porto absolutely horrendous.

The Porto keeper had a nightmare.
Liverpool do look good though and appear to have put the nightmare of last season behind them.
