A is quite clever, but like most comedy songs it doesn't make me laugh. There's a lack of pace to comedy songs, they're always too structured somehow and its very difficult for them to surprise you with unpredictable humour. If I'd been watching in the cinema I'd probably have been willing it to end so we could get back to the dialogue. B has a couple of mirthful moments.

It's rare they work well - and very rare they stand up to repeated viewings. Vic and Bob have done some good ones

I really like both of these a lot, but can't help but think that I remember funnier Blackadder bits.
A is from my favorite Python movie, benefiting from (stop me if you've heard this before) just how far they'll go for the joke. This is deliciously OTT, but also catchy as hell, given Neil Innes's considerable skill with a hook.

A is great of course, witty and silly and beautifully done. But I have a big soft spot for the Blackadder series, especially this 2nd series, which I count amongst my favourites of all time.

Both of these I found funny. I've only seen each of them two or three times before. Python's pastiche of big numbers in film musicals is spot on, although the song itself could be more cutting. I'm giving it to Blackadder, though, if only for the line 'There's no point, we still have the preliminary sketches'. Enjoyable end to the contest.
