I'll laugh if you buy one and you can't get into the flat. Of course I'd take measurements etc. but yeah - not like sofas which can be assembled once the bits are in the room. Getting a grand piano through a doorway is one fuck of a job. And it's not like the deliverers are careful. I've moved a couple of grand pianos. The legs and pedal arrangement can be removed and the piano placed on its side on a 4-wheel dolly. I wouldn't want to hump one up a couple flights of stairs though! (you are on an upper floor, correct?)

Trying to figure out if the cost of insurance is worth it and the radio's a bit dodgy. T Tops in Eire? It looks like a late 80s Pontiac/Chevy, but the front is different or modified? Sure...

I don't know how things work in your state, but a 39 year old man trying to get 16 year old girls in to his car is kinda sorta frowned upon.

Markus, in his new car, trying to pick up 16-year old girls on the mean streets of Donegal (or wherever it is he lives):

The juxtaposition of Coan trying to get a grand piano in his new flat and Marcus's conundrum whether to buy a muscle car or not made me chuckle a bit. They're both doomed to failure. Sorry to jinx you guys.

Ruark R7 It's an all-in-one streamer so you can stream music digitally and play CDs. £2200 though. I listened to one today - it's aesthetics over sound quality for me. The Naim has better sound. I think if I had a spare couple of grand that I could afford to fritter away on a non essential, there are about 500 things I'd rather buy.

The problem with these things is you need some sort of subscription to a streaming service really. They're expensive things to start with, then you're looking at a tenner a month on top of that for Spotify or whatever. Well I doubt anyone who could afford the thing you posted would worry about paying an additional ten quid a month.

Why not get an ordinary piano rather than a grand piano. You have expensive tastes John!

It's the move from owning hifi equipment AND the media - in many cases thousands of discs, worth a lot of money - to this thing - which to me says 'mug'. So I've changed my mind.
