Just get cracking for fuck's sake. Waiting more than a couple of hours to respond is never a good idea.

Well, it's hard with music, there's a lot I could post about, but there isn't much point here. No-one seems interested in new music much, and non-BCB core gets really short shrift. Then again, you, driftin and Rob Kirkup turned me on to all kinds of things on the Refuge - Coil, Legendary Pink Dots, True Kvlt, Alceste, Nurse With Wound, Natural Snow Buildings and so on – even Jandek – that I would never have heard otherwise (I'll forgive you Current 93 and Mr Tibet in general ). While I'm unlike personally to follow up on any more new stuff, owing to Old and Past It, I'll still proffer a response, while I'm sure there are ears here that might be mollified by some of those I mentioned, not to mention your folkier stuff, while you're sure of at least one bout of logorrhoea in response if you ever put out your long-promised profile of the second most important Phil in popular music.

I voted that the era of music-focused message boards is over - and that’s partially the truth. But there are other factors.
One of them is that the world of music-obsessive is relatively small. I’m always amazed that when I join ANY music-related FB group, that almost everyone else in it are the same folks. Maybe that would be different if I joined a Drake fan group, but the stuff that binds is together seems to have a limited appeal. Or at least, limited interest in talking about it.
Then there’s the fact that most of us know each other too well. You get to the point where we’ve had the big discussions and a bunch of the little ones. And because familiarity breeds contempt, even those little discussions get personal faster and faster.
Go back to BCB just for a few minutes and read through classic threads. The older ones are longer, sprawling conversations with lots of people contributing. But the closer the date gets to today, they start to get more and more personal, and the discussions get more and more shallow.
Not sure it can be fixed. It was fun finding out that a lot of other folks think about this shit. But maybe that initial burst of companionship the Internet gave us can’t last the same way forever.

I did not expect this answer at all and I thought I knew you.

I don't think that the forum is dead.
It's actually very alive!
Maybe too many threads?

Quietest day for a long time. Several weeks, probably. How many posts? 8?
I don't get it.
