and maybe it's hollywood types trying to make themselves look funny by being in a funny show? I like him on the show. I miss Marty too but I think VV works in the show.
I mean, one is just as likely as the other. "trying" Yeah, I dunno I felt the last series was a bit Ricky gervais. That's not a compliment I loved Funkhauser. I'd rather they just retired that space and didn'T fill it with Vince Vaughn, you know? I mean, that initial premise (celebrity plays an unlikeable version of themselves for laughs) was kind of high yield in its infancy (on Curb it was always a genuine plot point during the first handful of seasons). Some wore it better than others on Extras (I posit that - even then - it was still a novel conceit) , but...there does come a point where we're all in on it (actor, audience...) and we all know what the game is. At full saturation (i.e. "Vince Vaughan"), there's not much left beyond "This guy is a known tit both on and offscreen, and we're supposed to (knowingly) enable his aggressive efforts at humanizing himself by performatively being a good sport about it." Long live Krazee-Eyez Killa.

New season starts tonight in the US (HBO), tomorrow in the UK (Sky Comedy).
Think I'll have to renew my subscription to NOW TV

We just started watching S10. Only two episodes in so far, but I've heard good things about the tacqueria actress's storyline and I'm looking forward to seeing how that develops.
*edit*
S11, not S10

This show is fucking ridiculous. Watched IRASSHAIMASE! last night and couldn't stop laughing. The country-club manager cracks me up every time.

Tracy Fucking Ullman in Season 11!! My gawd! She deserves an Emmy at very least.

Isn't she fabulous? Love the interactions between her and HD, and that respectable/smutty thing that's going on. And she doesn't play it broad, either.

haven't watched it for a while. VERY limited TV time lately. I do watch enough TV to know the J.B. Smoove's voice is every fucking where.
seriously, that guy is the new Donald Sutherland - he does voice overs for everything!
