I thought the Style Council pulled it off in a unique way. They got it, but brought their own personalities and stories to it. Rowland's not talented enough. He's written so many great songs over the years. He's a true artist. I was having a little go at you. The Bowie thread just warmed me up.

He doesn't himself any favours with his "dress" sense. Shame because he was really rocking that Harlem 30s look he had.

I wonder if the fiddle player is contractually obligated to not wear a skirt/dress.

I thought all four were Rowland in various costumes.

I quite like Kevin's understated clown shoes.

The places he's playing are 1600-2300 seaters, which is pretty good. But still less than the broken/cobbled together version of Yes playing London's Royal Albert Hall ( let alone the 15,000 seaters they can still play in the US).

Not everone is ready for it though. eh, in this day and age, they should be, it's kinda 80s90s, perry farrell did it for ages. Nowadays it saves him from the cultural appropriation charge which is usually a 'no go' amongst the young (the Harlem look, US soul music panto, even possibly his Celtic influences).

Nothing is a 'no go'. You should be able to wear what you like.
