Both new to me. I don't get how EiG aren't pop: although OA do have a more mainstream sound, there's nothing particularly extreme about EiG, they still fit easily into the quirky pop mode. Both tracks are right in the middle of two different post-punk synth tributaries, and I like them both fine. I'm going to go with the one that sounds more like the Cabs than Depeche Mode, though

The riff in A reminds me of ‘From Out of Nowhere’. Maybe FNM were fans.
I prefer it to B, which just seems so unimaginative and standard. I suppose drum machines etc were pretty new then, so I have to forgive.

I don't know if the term "synthpop" means I should be able to dance to it, which would logically (hatz) lead me to vote for B, but fuck that because A is obviously the more interesting track here.

I had no problems with A at all. Then again I am quite unwell at the moment. I vote A all the same.
