Well, I have to say that I like B, not as much as other S&D tunes, and certainly is not a song that I would voluntarily play, but I would not change station if it comes on the radio. I hope I don't need to say it's not my pick.
And it is very frustrating to see the score on this round. I had my doubts about picking A, and in fact it was a late addition. I kinda agree with Ray that it could be a tad shorter, and it probably would if it had been released a couple of years earlier. But I find the vocals so great that I wanted to share the tune with the board. Seeing the score we're getting, it looks that I should have played a list like this:
Dock of the Bay Soulfinger Green Onions Walking the Dog Knock on Wood Shaft I'll Take You There
Duly noted

Hmm, maybe I got a bit "skopey" there. No mean to offend anybody.

B by virtue of Sam & by virtue of Dave.

I completely understand the obviousness of B. Some of these rounds aren't for everyone, if I had to pick one for Blue Note it'd be akin to throwing a dart at a wall full of balloons to see what fell out. But if a song is obvious it's obvious for a reason and it sails through here. I vote B.

There's a bit too much of A. Too many notes. I'd've probably liked it a lot more if I'd known it a long time. They key changes are a bit OTT, too. Selecting B was a bit cheating really. It isn't 'Soul Man' but there's still no way I'm not voting for it.

B is of course mong the greatest things ever, but I'll give it to the very surprising deep cut
