B is ok, but A actually fits the category better..While the selection is a bit long and makes more sense within the entirety of the concept album, it works enough here..Vote A

A is a bit overlong, but fits the remit nicely, and intrigues me enough to want to give a good listen to the full (concept, apparently) album.
The Motors might need a little oil - it's a smooth ride once they get going, but it's a bit of a cold start.

Not a big fan of either of these, but B is a little more palatable despite it being a bit too Top Gear

A, from one of the best hip hop albums of the 90s

Hmm, I'm not sure about A, it's almost like someone doing hip-hop to a Laibach backing track. I'm not sure the grandiose kind of echoing sound really fits for hip-hop. Nice bass though, and it's a more interesting pick. I was too cruel too soon to round 4, the first few ties I listened to were full of the ususal archaic BCB-core JB&S miserable Sunday afternoon radio 2 stuff, but there's been a bit of variety since.
For a second there, I thought this was going to be the original of The Mavericks' dreaded "Dance the Night Away". Unfortunately, it's notmuch better. This is Status Quo trying to jump on the new wave bandwagon, it makes me long for the excitement and energy of The Boomtown Rats.

A comes from the tail end of Hip Hop's period of invention, particularly in the use of sampling which is very good on this. I might have given B a fairer hearing if the picker had given us the record, rather than an unnecessarily protracted live version. Anyway it does nothing to dispel my memory of them as tepid pub rock.

A rare treat, a hiphop track that I actually enjoy all the way through, it's taken me only 40 years to get there. And clocking at 7 minutes, no less! Cheers to that.
B should be much more my thing and it is not bad, but I'm still under shock about having enjoyed A. So

B. Nothing wrong with some handsome blokes playing guitars.

Both are fine in their way without being totally in my wheelhouse. Maybe B for the nice guitar sound.

B would have been better if they’d chopped off the boring intro. No amount of dressing is going to conceal the mutton lurking beneath the lamb. I like some Motors stuff but not this one.
A is not at all my normal brew but I ended up liking it. Especially when the choirs of angels come in.

B by virtue of my wanting to turn it up while it played.

A starts off with a mechanical cuckoo, goes 'Moon Safari'-smooth then breaks out the rapping. I like it. There was something familiar about it. I looked them up. Dan the Automator and Kid Koala - I'm already a fan! Of Handsome Boy Modelling School. No wonder I like this so much. (Check out KK with Drunk Trumpet: www.youtube.com/watch?v=1LlrIuHmCto ) I mean The Motors are good but they stand no chance. A

Cabn't say I care for either of these very much, if at all, but I'm not voting for live music, I'm a records fan (or at least I was)
