Think this is the second time D.R.Hooker has popped up in cups recently, and that's two times too many having to listen to him..Got to go with the always well done production of the Tempts..Not exciting, but it will have to do..Vote B

Can't say I'm super impressed by Mr. Hooker, but A is pleasant enough.
I can't deny B is a great song or appropriate to the theme, but as I've said before, if it comes up near the top of a Google search of the theme, it's too obvious to get my vote...

I love the Tempts but that one isn't a favourite. Too much histrionics, not enough melody. No.
A was pretty good

I seem to remember the last Doctor Hooker track being better than this. It's a properly dreary trudge of a song, more dishwater than downpour. Kinda hope that lightning hit him at the end, and it would provide the only electricity in that sullen slop.
B's a better song, but such a safe pick and another generic BCB by numbers choice. Go on, I'm feeling generous. B

I prefer A, though the mic stand in B might have swung it on a different day.

An interesting tie for yours truly. Hadn't heard of A before and it was pleasant enough. B is not amongst my fave Tempts number, and I find it harmed by overplaying (something that I would not say about other even bigger hits from them). I'm going to surprise myself voting for

I really like what I've heard of this Hooker guy. On this the slightly amateurish nature of it did come through although I still liked its overall vibe. B is wonderful, it's weird to hear it greeted with such antipathy on here. Ruffin's vocal absolutely inhabits the song giving it total authority while Whitfield's production gives it an amplified dramatic quality. One of their best.

It took until round 4 for a Weetabix production credit?

A is decent, but I'm with G - watching and listening to the Tempts in their pomp is just too good.
