Both very much within a traditional folk of their respective countries. The stark atmospherics, with JM's crystalline vocals, of the Pentangle track speaks to me far more, although I didn't need seven minutes. The other track is fine but too generic to stand out in any way.

B is one hell of a vocal performance, by both. It's also stark and effective, though likely not in a genre that most here can relate to. Another reason I'm throwing it a vote.
A is a bit long, but it really doesn't bother me. I like both a lot. B just a touch more.

As in round 4, here I am facing another tediously repetitive million verses of English folk. Oh, shut the fuck up tra-la-la-la-la-la-la-lala

Both are good, but I prefer c&w/bluegrass to English folk.

Still no Ini Kamoze. Such a shame. Anyway, Cruel Sister is one of the greatest folk albums ever recorded, though the title track isn't it's finest moment. The fa-la-las are a bit much, even for me. However, lovely bass work again from Danny Thompson, and Renbourn's sitar adds a lovely touch of colour. Not exactly a deep cut though, Pentangle are another band who'd be picked in the fucking techno cup if we ever had one.
There's some bravery in picking a modern country track, but also a lack of taste. However, just for adding to variety and steering away from the obvious, I'll lob it a vote.

The fa-la-las made it unvoteable - shame as it was otherwise lovely. B does zero for me.
Abstain.

Sigh. I might have to come back to this one; neither really lighting my murderers wick right now.

What, this lot of long-winded finger-in-the-ear chancers again? Nah, I'm not having this, if B's half decent it's gong through on the nod.
This is fine by me. The vocal has so much more feeling than Jacquie McShrill, and I quite like the guitar sound. I wish to fuck that we had more songs about actual real-life murderers though, since they're an area of expertise.

B is new to me and it’s OK but fails to dethrone A from its, ehm, throne.
