A is one of the tracks I like from a new band that intermittently interests me.
B is cute, but has no staying power with me after listening. Might've been good in the novelty theme...

I think I might be too working class to listen to A It sort of turned me into a thug who wanted to smash a cello over the heads of the band ( much like Neil Maskell in Kill List). B washed over me and I can't think of much to say about it, but at least I didn't feel compelled to commit violence on the band. Incidentally the vid posted doesn't play in the UK but there is another one on YouTube. B

A is a bit pretentious in an Arcade Fire sort of way..B is ok, but not sure they violin is utilized in an interesting way..Marginal vote B

I'm not getting any class conflict in responding to A (mind you I do listen to Radio 3 daily) but it is a bit of a frustrating listen. They seem to have some reticence with playing much or going deep into a story. Maybe it's suffering from having a live performance.
B (courtesy of the second link) isn't a great song but the violins leave more in the mind.

Both pretty bad.
B is not the worst thing in the world

Hmm, at first listen, B was far more immediate and it is a pleasant track, no doubt. But there's something about A that makes me will to explore this band further. Will give a second listen before voting.
Edit: Done. definitey A, and definitely a band to check further.

Violins feature more in the first. I liked the second but in a more throwaway manner. The live presentation did distract from the music of A but I liked the music. In fact I really like it. Confirmed when I played you studio version on youtube. Still voting on the two youtube versions posted:

With the usual caveats about live performance, I rather enjoyed this, but then I am a bit of a closet post-rock fan, and would have chosen a GY!BE track if I'd been in the same group as violins. Not that they sound much like Canadee's finest band, but they do show great attack. And they have a basoonist!
This isn't at all bad, either, in fact it's decent, if a bit retro (would never have guessed they were a 21st century band) but ultimately I find the attack of the Moulettes - who, I just discovered from wiki, are from Somerset! – more interesting in a rare round of two newish and interesting bands.

B ...might've been good in the novelty theme... Why? genuine question. If there's one thing this cup has taught me, it's that no-one (including me) definitively knows what a Novelty record is.

You are in the same group as violins aren't you? Yes I am, got in early with Soul Motion .Soz. What I should have said was, 'with hindsight'
