I really messed up with my choice for violins. What was I thinking?

That you were back on BCB surrounded by proggy types? I haven't completed my deprogramming yet, so have the occasional lapses.

There are hints of zeuhl around the start of A, which turned me off immediately, but it grew on me as it developed. Certainly has more than a hint of prog around it, but it's quite a nicely constructed piece with a lot of thought around the different parts. Unusual choice to be picking up votes, this stuff normally goes down as well as Mrs Browns Boys. Not sure I'd ever want to delve further, but it's an odd un.
B has something of Karen O about the vocal, but I'm not really sure the violin really fits the music at all. Feels like Fairground Attraction on a post-punk kick. Again, an interesting choice, outside of preludin comfort zones. I'm finding it difficult to separate these two, there's something quite contrived about both tracks. A has more originality, B is less of an effort to listen to.

A just doesn't do it for me, sorry. B is ok in a fleeting sorta way, and does enough here.

A was not my cup of tea at all, but not devoid of interest. B is one of those songs where the violin adds to the propulsive feel of the thing and is not bad for what it is. Yes, I quite like it.
