A is good. Could have been a contender in the weather category too. B is a feast of artful arrangement.

I would have welcomed some classical representation by now, in this and the violin group.
A sounds like a parody of the Rainbow theme tune. There's not much to B at all but the playing is competent and proud.

I was hip and with-it in the late sixties, and I loved the Association, but always thought this was the least of their half-a-dozen best-known singles. Not that it's rubbish, not by a long chalk, I like the vaguely bubble-gum feel and the simplicity of the instrumental arrangement and the complexity of the vocals. And of course a recorder rather than the flute. I don't object to the song, quite like the Bea*les' version , but there are several notes the flautist hit that were beyond shrill, and actively painful on headphones, so no. A it is
