A Andre Williams - Bacon Fat
If that does not work, try this
B Paolo Conte – Gelato al Limon

(Again, link here for A doesn't work, I've told Ray)
From the title alone, I'd've gone for B.
Playing A though - oh this is good. Really good.
B's a bit left-field, stylish, I like it. But A's almost perfect (well it ain't vegetarian).

Yeah, my processing was almost the same. B's a lot of fun, and the title's great. But A is damned near perfect, other than, as thang says, it ain't veg. But ultimately forgivable in the context of the times. I'm just imagining it as Facon Grease.

Fuck's sake. Both patience-testing. I really can't choose either.
For the second time this round

Neither are doing it for me. A is just a bloke talking and those 'woo-woo' backing vocals get very repetitious. Can't hear what people are getting enthusiastic about. B has a certain intensity of performance ( by which I probably mean the singer screws up his face a lot) but the song and music don't pull me in. I can hear it's promising to move somewhere more interesting and in this tie that's enough.

I know the novelty theme has had a kicking, but this theme has been equally bad, it seems the tracks have largely been poor jazz instrumentals or novelty tracks themselves. This falls into the latter rack, and it feels like they might have had a great time recording it, but there's nothing of interest to the person listening.
Is B how Jacques Brel would've ended up, had he lived? No idea what he's singing about beyond the obvious, but he seems invested in it. Something a little sad about this, the overwrought vocals, and then the really cheesy piano break, but the accordion is nice. It's better than A, anyway.

I like Andre Williams in small doses, but not this track in particular.
B is a very unusual pick and I quite liked it.

A most excellent tie for yours truly. A is fantastic and fun, uith that background piano and guitar very much up my street.
But there's no way I'm gonna vote against Paolo Conte. Ever. No way.

Tough choice, i like both. These are way outside the Prel. comfort zone too, so brave choices. A by a whisker.

A may not be in the preludin comfort zone, but it sure is in mine. B is nice, too. Although I always have a bit of trouble with non-Anglophone versions of pop or rock styles, this sort of thing is a different matter entirely. It's A though.
