Take out the dried fruit from no-added-sugar Alpen, soak it in rum for a few days then add some back in, add mixed spice, peanut powder (and I also add chia seeds) .. et voila. Breakfast for dinner. Delish. Like having a breakfast Christmas pud but without all that fucking sugar.
Edit: what I actually have at breakfast time .. hummus, obviously.

I just get those jumbo porridge oats, lob a handful of dried fruit in, and perhaps some salt if we've only got skimmed milk in. Salt? That's weird. Supposedly traditional for the Scots. Just a pinch gives it a bit of a buttery, creamier flavour, which helps if you have that piss-weak grey water which passes itself off as skimmed milk.

A pinch of salt actually makes bitter, sweet, and sour things taste sweeter. It's why there's such a thing as salted caramel and why they always say to add a bit in baking recipes.

My favorite is Captain Crunch. It's one of the few vices I have left. I can’t have it in the house. when I was a kid, we got a small, free box in the mail. it made me a junky for life.

On weekdays I take some fruit, yoghurt and a cereal bar to the office and eat them at my desk, I never can be arsed getting out of bed 15 minutes earlier to have breakfast at home. It's as much as I can do to make a coffee and then stumble into the shower.
Weekends, I'll usually have some hummus or marmite on toasted Warburton's seeded loaf, or a fry up, with coffee.
I've never really liked cereals that much and don't have them at home, but if I'm away with work and staying in a hotel I might have some cornflakes with milk now and again.

One of the things i don't understand is corn flakes, they're fucking disgusting. Why would anyone eat them. I'd rather go hungry.

Or I just go straight for the tahini. Whiskey works with it too, but in the evening, natch. I seem to have rather odd cereal eating habits ...

Not really - crunchy nut cornflakes but cheaper, essentially.
