Ring Ring (Glam Rock Belter) One Of Us (Blood On the Tracks era) Summer Night City (The single they worked on for months, trying for another Dancing Queen but they hated it, my favourite when I was 8, it's not as good as Dancing Queen) SOS (Undeniable) Know Me Knowing You (We just have to face it this time we're through)

SOS all the way, for most of the reasons Dougie stated.
Also, the harmonies. Hot European 80’s chicks, singing in harmony, with that touch of implied vulnerability, does something to me.

What was their worst single? I'm going for The Winner Takes It all; a dreary Andrew Lloyd Webber soundalike. You can imagine Elaine Page singing it.

What was their worst single? No way..that's a bouncy triumph. No wonder Pulp nicked a good bit of it for Disco 2000.

oooh no they will NOT leave that chorus until it's been hammered into the ground! It's the lasses fave. I've grown to like it a lot more singing along with it in the car with her. It's just great fun.

Knowing Me Knowing You (one of the greatest breakup songs ever) SOS (Pop perfection) Take a Chance on Me (ditto) Thank You For the Music (anthemic! Which is unusual for them) Waterloo

What was their worst single? I'm going for The Winner Takes It all; a dreary Andrew Lloyd Webber soundalike. You can imagine Elaine Page singing it. At last. I'm always perplexed when a "Nation's Favourite ABBA song" thing is on the tv, and it's always bleedin WTIA. I'm with you, it's their worst, not their best. Take away the story behind it, and it's all just a musically predictable dirge. IMO etc etc

It's great but one of those records that really works during a specific moment in time.

Maybe we can persuade G that 'Waterloo' is top three ABBA by Christmas!
