I had to look this up, because it was bugging me (can't imagine anyone guessing the right answer btw , and in doing so, I found that he could be added to one of my own favourite quiz questions - the connection between P G Wodehouse, Raymond Chandler and (added recently) Nigel Farage

I had to look this up, because it was bugging me (can't imagine anyone guessing the right answer btw , and in doing so, I found that he could be added to one of my own favourite quiz questions - the connection between P G Wodehouse, Raymond Chandler and (added recently) Nigel Farage so the connection has something to do with TV?

It really pissed off Matt Wilson when I pointed out that Chandler's 'quintessentially American' prose style came from an English classical public school education, and that, although he was born and died in the States, he was a naturalized Englishman for much of his life.

I bet it did! I remember having an argument with him about The Third Man..which he considered American!
