I see the pentagon released some videos of UFOs the other day. Ooh look there, UFO's! And at the same time they are plotting something else they don't want us to see. I tell ya!

what I love about it is that the Pentagon, by releasing those vids, pretty much said "yeah, those videos are legit" and there was SO MUCH ELSE going on that people's heads didn't explode.
I ask people if they've heard about it and they rattle their heads and squint at me. uh. yeah. yeah they did. our brains are too busy for UFO's right now. how wild is that?

JFK is the most famous example, right? and I don't (now) think of those ideas as 'conspiracy theories', more that the official line doesn't make logical sense. So people try to find other explanations. Maybe the story about the FBI killing Marilyn, too. The other stuff I know of, the classic examples - 9/11, the Moon landings, Diana - all bullshit. Conspiracy theory is anything where the truth has been covered up in some way by the powerful and there many examples of that happening in history. The problem is today people tend to associate the term with the kind of modern 'lizards are ruling the world' meta narratives and, unsurprisingly, want to distance themselves from it as far away as possible. But there are more shades of grey here than we like to admit. I think that a coverup is a conspiracy. But a conspiracy theory implies more. It theorizes intent and planning of some sort - at least it does in my mind. More than just a conspiracy to cover up. If Billy breaks the cookie jar and frames the cat - that’s a cover-up. If Billy breaks the cookie jar and his brother helps him frame the cat, that’s a conspiracy. If Billy’s mother theorizes that the pet store that sold her the cat trained it to break the cookie jar so that the owner could come by at just the right time and steal the cookies / that’s a conspiracy theory.

Interesting...the interviewer was frustrating, I would have asked some different questions. It would have been interesting to know what the follow up was. He must have taken it to military authorities.

It is intriguing isn't it.
There are a number of reports of aircraft travelling at hypersonic speeds and being able to hover almost in an instant that humans simply wouldn't be able to do.

I was fascinated by UFO sightings for years and read a lot about them. A lot of reports made interesting reading. I don't believe we are necessarily alone in the universe but we are not regularly visited by alien beings. The sheer numbers and probability that we are visited by beings light years away are beyond the realms of possibility. I mean why would space ships have lights ? Why are there so many different shapes and sizes. If the reports are true the sky is full of them. Logically it just isn't happening.

But it's a good question about the lights! Personally I think the evidence is starting to become overwhelming.

UFO sightings - things apparently in the sky that we do not 'understand' - are actually fairly common, and have been throughout recorded history. But the idea that they are alien spaceships only came into being after World War II, once humans had developed rocketry and space travel became more than a sci-fi idea.
Space ships are an entirely human concept. We see with our brains, not our eyes.
And where's the 'conspiracy theory' here?

Too many high level military figures are now coming forward to say that there is something happening. We're being drip fed information I think.
