That would be my idea of hell. You don't even think it looks good?

That would be my idea of hell. It's a very received, very masculine idea of "good taste" and a bit of a cliche. Some of the design is very good, even classic (I can spot some Holmegaard glassware there!), but it lacks personality and feeling taken as a whole like that.

well I won't be inviting YOU to my housewarming Probably a wise move, you wouldn't want red wine spilt on your deluxe interior.

Not really, no. Not too keen.
I don't know, quite honestly. There are a few completely different looks that appeal. And of course you're limited by cash and the dimensions of the room, as well as by what's available.
I think people start with ideas and just end up filling the room with stuff, with the result that most rooms look alike after a while. How could it be otherwise?

That would be my idea of hell. You don't even think it looks good? No. The best thing about it is thw beautiful high ceilings and cornicing and it almost does everything it can to undermine those points with squat ugly chairs and dark walls to make it look smaller and take the eye away from the nice bits. I don't think the pieces look good together at all. I would feel so uncomfortable in that space.

This would be your bag, right? I think Macintosh gets the balance of modernism and design just perfectly. Seeing his home recreated in Glasgow was one of the most inspirational moments of my life: People can LIVE by their own design!

I think you have to find something you love and then fill it with things you love. If you love space, you can fill it with that. If you're a Things person, (like me) you have to fill it with things.

Like dishes in a sink, for example.

Have you ever been to the Geffrye Museum, G (or any other Londoners for that matter)?

In the same period I got the Corbusiers I bought such a Rietveld too. A bit smaller than that one though.
