..Going Forward?
I might keep working from home from now on. I like it more than i thought. Judging by the modest amount of money I'm saving, i spent too much in my work's canteen which is another added bonus. I've also started stretching in the morning, it's made a major difference to the way i move around.

Working from home rather than working on campus this summer has meant a saving of around £4 a day on coffee alone. Probably another 3 or 4 quid on food.

How many coffees do you get for 4 quid?

We get ours free in work but its more to keep us working rather than the company being sound.

No to be fair, big swanky coffee machine, with nescafe pods. It's pretty sweet.

I've also started stretching in the morning, it's made a major difference to the way i move around. I've been told I'll most likely be working from home through until September. As I mentioned before you came back, I'm going to ask my boss if I can work remotely permanently and move up to my place in Eugene, OR. Right now, our graphic designer, web designer and database guy are all off-site so my boss may go for it. The cost of living would be sooooo much cheaper. My son said he might move up with me which would give me company.

I still don't like working from home. I want my space to be my own.

Thanks to male pattern baldness i've been losing my hair since the age of 19...i'm now 49 and i've always hated going to the barbers. I've been having a grade 2 all over for the last 13 years. I bought a head shaver the other day. Turns out doing a grade 2 all over is a piece of piss. I will never have to endure the barbers again. Every cloud...

I don’t like working from home - my job needs students and face to face contact.

I don’t like working from home - my job needs students and face to face contact. I'm wondering if a fair proportion of students might actually prefer to be taught online because they treat the experience like another form of social media - rattling off quick text responses to questions while at the same time watching a youtube video and talking to their mates. That's what we've been told about Chinese students anyway. I'll let you know how it goes tomorrow. Seven students in a virtual classroom, two 50-minute sessions.
