So I'm binge-watching stuff on Amazon for the free month while I can, I'm watching the series Treadstone (ech, it's OK not great) and Shitlist by L7 comes on (just after one female assassin kills the other one). Whoa, didn't expect that, far too good for the series, but someone has a good sense of humour.
So, any other unexpected/noteworthy/leftfield soundtrack examples?

I remember watching Bargain Hunt or Cash in the Attic, or something like that, and in one single episode they played KRS-One's "Sound of da Police", and an Aphex Twin track.
And when Match of the Day went a bid odd:

One day at the record store where I work, someone traded in a CD by Jonathan & Darlene Edwards - jokey alter egos of Jo Stafford and her husband, arranger/bandleader Paul Weston. I hadn't really thought of this "act" in decades - I mean, we're talking pretty obscure, here - and after work I took the CD with me and played it in the car on my way to a cinema about half an hour away, enjoying it much more than I'd expected to.
At the cinema I saw Sarah Polley's brilliant autobiographical documentary Stories We Tell, and playing under the closing credits was "Jonathan's" unique interpretation of "Ain't Misbehavin'", as featured on the CD I'd been playing just a couple hours earlier.

I was going to mention Aphex Twin's Windowlicker on Bargain Hunt as well.
Coronation Street psycho Pat Phelan made JD's Atmosphere his theme

I also remember Fish showing me this clip of when Pere Ubu showed up on the BBC children's TV show Roland Rat

I wish they'd given Ray's surname - I'm curious if it's a name I'd recognize from credits, etc.
