Probably Derek's weakest effort, but there's some hints of what's to come later. And Gregg Allman singing on Drown in my Own Tears, though feeling a bit out of place in this album, is a nice highlight.

Sometimes, just sometimes, you need absolute top-notch musicianship and craft.

FNS - FNSFrederik Ness Sevendal, if you were wondering. Which is unlikely. Solo album by Norwegian guitarist, something akin to the early 6 Organs of Admittance albums, lovely folk figures and some swirling electric guitar textures.

Come and join us by the pool. The biggest city on the river, Guerneville, certainly is a gay vacation mecca. There are rainbow flags everywhere. Here is one of the main bars on Main St. Unlike Skope, my son and I are secure in our sexuality and welcome diverse lifestyles.

If I'm shouting into the void, might as well be accompanied by someone with less musical ability than myself.

Late 90s industrial/ambient/idm. Somewhere between Skinny Puppy's experimental pieces and Autechre.

I really don't own enough Diamanda. The cover of Johnny Paycheck's "Pardon Me I've Got Someone to Kill" is sublime.
