We seem to be diverse and diffused. Maybe we can learn something, or get turned onto something. Why don't we have a Now Playing? Really, no different than a "General Blethering" with music.

It would probably just be pages of me shouting into the void, but a music board without one is a lesser place.

If it would boost discussion and help people come up with other music threads, I'm all for it..

If people want a NOW PLAYING thread then fine. List threads do nothing but kill discussion in my opinion but if the consensus is 'yes' for this one then why not?
Would be nice if people posted some comments and not just pictures of record sleeves.

We had a vote, and democracy won. And what it gave us was a slighty ropey late 80s album by Tuxedomoon: Perhaps an inauspicious start, but I couldn't remember what it sounded like. Quite dated, the icy synth swirls probably didn't work back then, but at least it's never predictable. The title track is absolutely lovely, it's a shame that it's bookended by the 'sinister/theatrical/shite' Boxman songs:

I've been playing the most recent Eileen Jewell album. Think a bluesier Lucinda Wiiliams who enunciates more clearly.

Now we've got two now playing threads. Which is the real one? Should we have a third?

over the weekend I went on a Lee Dorsey kick. I only really knew "Holy Cow" &, of course, "workin' in a coal mine". I decided that I really like that guys voice. his "best of" had at least half a dozen really catchy singles that I'll be listening to again.

Just leave Fish shouting into the void in the other one.
