I've always loved it. It's just so out there and druggy- which is pretty much where Sly was at at that point. Minimalist funk with yodeling- who else would have thought of such a thing 40 years before rap/country crossover?

I enjoy it, but I didn't like the track too much back when I bought "Riot".
Sly has never been my favorite. My friends and I were disappointed by his no-show (and the subsequent real-life riot) at Chicago's Grant Park Bandshell. I guess that I've just never trusted ol' Sly.

It's my favorite track on a record full of classics ("Runnin' Away", 'Smilin'", etc.).
It's got no shortage of atmosphere, and the overdriven, unhinged vocal does a hell of a lot.

Kind of like "I Just Wanna See His Face" on Exile. It doesn't seem crucial to the overall presentation, but I couldn't live without it. I think Exile leans quite heavily on "I Just Wanna...". Ties the room together.
