2. Why was the Christmas Day, 1986 Eastenders such a big deal? Was that the Dirty Den divorce thing? Something like that.
4. 'if you see Sid, tell him' - name the company and the reason this slogan was popular in 1986 Was that the British Gas privatisation thing, trying to turn all common people into economic contributors/slaves to capatalism (delete as appropriate)
5. Why was the C4 show After Dark axed in 1991? Oliver Reed getting his cock out? Wasn't Keith Allen a bigger tool on that show, too?
6. Which of these was NOT a Play For Today title? b. Oy Vey Maria
7. Which popular 60s and 70s show featured Stratford Johns, Frank Windsor and Brian Blessed? Z Cars. Everton and Watford both use the theme music, too.
8. Dennis Waterman starred in The Sweeney and Minder. Name one other popular TV show he appeared in. On holiday in Whitby last month, the TV in the cottage could only get about 4 channels (no BBC, even), so we ended up watching Minder, The Professionals, and Dempsey & Makepeace regularly. Minder stood up pretty well, I thought, even if Watermans' luck with the birds was both a very dated concept and a thing of mystery. This red-faced middle-aged bloke being chatted up by every young girl behind a shop counter. Anyway, are you thinking of New Tricks, or something older?
9. Who has presented Question Time apart from Robin Day, Fiona Bruce, and David DImbleby? Peter whatsisiface, head shaped like an egg.

Sunderland used to use the Z Cars theme at Roker Park, as well.
1. Which show featured the character Ted Bovis? and who played him? Hi-De-Hi, Paul Shane (not Mc).
2. Why was the Christmas Day, 1986 Eastenders such a big deal? The divorce between Dirty Den and Angie? Or record viewing figures?
5. Why was the C4 show After Dark axed in 1991? I'd take a guess at the Oliver Reed incident but it may have been something more banal.
7. Which popular 60s and 70s show featured Stratford Johns, Frank Windsor and Brian Blessed? Z Cars.
8. Dennis Waterman starred in The Sweeney and Minder. Name one other popular TV show he appeared in. New Tricks is the only other one I know.
9. Who has presented Question Time apart from Robin Day, Fiona Bruce, and David DImbleby? Peter Sissons?
10. Name these TV characters (the characters' names, not the actors): d. Olive, e. Patsy, I know A but can't place it.

3. 'AMATEURS! AMATEURS!' - name the singer, the show, the year, the reason for the outburst
That was Ian Brown from the Stone Roses on BBC2's The Late Show in 1989. It was their first national TV appearance, they were playing Made Of Stone live and just as they got to the first chorus there was a power cut in the studio which shut the amps down. Hence Ian Brown's response.

Hence Ian Brown's response. This was the one I was most curious about... and it turns out it's the only thing in the quiz (apart from AbFab) that I've actually seen!
