Maybe..but it happened a while ago. He should have had time to process things and control his emotions.

That’s not because he’s doing a poor job as president, thoughYeah, nothing to do with the border crises or inflation or crime or the fact that he is very obviously in cognitive decline and can't string a cohesive sentence together or Kamala Harris. The economy seems to be improving. You can hardly blame him for crime. Inflation is an issue. The economy will naturally experience a covid bounce as people return to normal, same over here of course but inflation is real worry. Crime is an issue because it's spiking in Democrat run cities like Chicago and New York and it's backfiring on the party after the last year or so and therefore Biden. Harris's handling of the border crises has been a joke and she was his pick. Did you not see the cringey interview when she said "and I haven't been to Europe?" in response to criticism that she hadn't visited the border? Dire stuff. Have you not seen videos of Biden talking recently? He's gone man! I would be surprised if he lasted 4 years at this rate.

Maybe..but it happened a while ago. He should have had time to process things and control his emotions. I don't know if it matters much or if and in how far it limited him to do his job. There were several officers doing their testimony: "Along with graphic video of hand-to-hand fighting, the officers described being beaten as they held off the mob that broke through windows and doors and interrupted the certification of Democrat Joe Biden’s presidential win. The new committee is launching its probe with a focus on the law enforcement officers who protected them — putting a human face on the violence of the day. Metropolitan Police Officer Michael Fanone, who rushed to the scene, told the committee — and millions watching news coverage — that he was “grabbed, beaten, tased, all while being called a traitor to my country.” Doctors later told him he'd had a heart attack. Daniel Hodges, also a D.C. police officer, said he remembered foaming at the mouth and screaming for help as rioters crushed him between two doors and bashed him in the head with his own weapon, injuring his skull. Capitol Police Officer Harry Dunn said one group of rioters, perhaps 20 people, screamed the n-word at him as he was trying to keep them from breaching the House chamber. Tensions on Capitol Hill have only worsened since the insurrection, with many Republicans playing down, or outright denying, the violence that occurred and denouncing the Democratic-led investigation as politically motivated. Democrats are reminding people how brutal it was, and how the law enforcement officers who were sworn to protect the Capitol suffered serious injuries at the hands of the rioters. The officers detailed the horror of their experiences, their injuries and the lasting trauma as they begged the lawmakers to investigate the attack. “I feel like I went to hell and back to protect them and the people in this room," Fanone testified."

I would look to events in Guatemala and Mexico to understand the spike in people trying to get across the border. There are some things Biden can't control.

4 years of undisguised cruelty for one. Our immigration policies are bi-partisan in their cruelty (Carter era laid down barbed wire. Clinton & H.W. closed places that were easily crossed so that only brutal terrain was accessable)
still, there was an unrealistic expectation that Biden was going to "open the border" so there was a ground swell. the Adminstration has no plans on doing any such thing.
personally, I'd like to see some real reform especially in cases where we used to let them stay on our side of the border until their status was straightened out. sadly, this is seen as political suicide and it looks like Biden Admin is going to hold a hard line on this.
recent "tell-alls" on TRUMP describe his enthusiasm in often calling for shooting and gassing people who tried to cross the border. of course, people who have tried to cross the border have been shot and gassed in the past. at least it's not something we fucking BRAG about doing to throngs of people.
Biden is pretty wishy-washy Neo-Liberal on a lot of wedge issues. I don't mind because, if our government were able to function, many of his plans and policies seem very practical and achievable. As for him being "out of it" He could show up with a dribbhle cup before I'd be concerned relative to the great big sack of shit we had before. Capable people are in positions of power. administrative posts are being filled. in short - our government is being run by people who don't fucking hate the very concept of government & democratic principles. He can fingerpaint if he wants. I think we have a much better crack at something democratic when the brown shirts are at home crying on the internet rather than pumping their arms in the air.

Biden memorized poetry to cure his stutter when he was younger and cites writers like Seamus Heaney, Aeschylus, and the African American poets Langston Hughes and Robert Hayden as influences.
Trump is barely literate and has an 6th grade vocabulary.

Watch some CNN, they're still chatting about him even though sleepy joe is in charge. He's still money compared to the current president.
