my favourite compilation series by far.
pick your favourite track from these 4 selections from volume one.
ponder, evoke and remember to be true to yourself.
faster than light - the mirror
a woman of distinction - caleb
cast a spell - the open mind
grey - the hush

From that lot, 'Faster Than Light' easily.
The last one sounds like a fucking Gerry and the Pacemakers B-side!

2 votes and one of them was mine for a gerry and the pacemakers b-side.
it's not worth it, is it?

Sorry, I'd like to proffer an opinion here, but I find it really hard to get excited by obscure 60s psyche tracks. Not my thing. Just had enough of 60s rock n' pop to last me a lifetime. I think BCB has affected my mental state badly, and I now get depressed at the sight of youtube clips with an image of a 45 label.

It was pretty tight between Caleb and the Mirror for me, but...something about the manic drumming on "Faster.." won me over just a hair more.

The Open Mind had Magic Potion. That's their one shining moment and what a moment it is but the track posted isn't worth much I'm afraid. You are fetishising mediocrity and then complaining when nobody can be bothered to reply.

Ah no, just generally. It's like addressing dogs.

I'm not choosing any stick to fucking beat the board with. You are picking sub standard records and then complaining when people aren't exhibiting the desired levels of enthusiasm as if the problem lies solely with us rather than your over appreciation of a niche genre.
